A Yum Yum Spree of Recipes collected by the Baltimore County General Hospital Auxiliary 1971 to benefit Baltimore County General Hospital.
I can only imagine this title is a reference to the 1960 Broadway play (or the 1963 movie adaptation staring Jack Lemmon), Under the Yum Yum Tree. The movie has nothing to do with food but the name is memorable!
Wide variety of recipes from salads to desserts, including some regional favorites like “quick” sour beef and dumplings, hot milk cake and crab soup. Dividing pages have some illustrations.
Contributors are named and a few have include their position at the hospital like emergency room nurse. There are even a few recipes contributed by patients scattered throughout.
