Delicacies from Dame collected by the College of Notre Dame of Maryland 1986
The College of Notre Dame of Maryland is a private, Baltimore City based Catholic school that was women’s college until Fall 2023. It changed its name to Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2011 after adding several graduate level programs.
The Baltimore chapter of the College of Notre Dame Alumnae Association collected the recipes and in the forward admitted they did not have time to test all the recipes but a random sample was tested with success. They also said they did not include recipes that didn’t meet the deadline, had incomplete instructions or confusing methods.
Many recipes including several recipes for crab cakes and many desserts including dueling Kentucky and Texas Pecan Pies and the interestingly named “Strawberry Blight Torte” which calls for frozen strawberries. The contributors are named along with their graduation dates.
