Favorite Recipes compiled by Blue Heron Dance Vashon Island, Washington 2005
Blue Heron Dance is the “oldest and most established classical dance program on Vashon Island”. The dancers and their families contributed the recipes and sales went to fund dance opportunities. Vashon Island is a small island in Puget Sound that is only accessible via ferry.
There are some black-and-white photographs of the dancers in the beginning. It appears to be a dance school for children.
The book is fairly short–under 70 pages of recipes but features a wide variety of dishes with little overlap. Stock images on dividers.
Recipes range from Barb Gustafson’s Gram Dusty’s Dynamites (a meatball dish) and her Jack Crotty’s Chicken to Molly Crosby (Dance Class: Ballet 5/6)’s Garlic Bread and Julie King and Liza Caldwell (Dance Class; CM Fridays)’s Syrup Cake that calls for Barbados molasses.
Includes some craft recipes and dog biscuits.
