Tastes of Summers Past recipes collected for the 38th National Square Dance Convention, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 1989
This was a fun book because not only was it another square dancer cookbook but the recipes are very varied. Not only are there recipes from square dancers all over the country, but there are also a few from square dancers in other countries, politicians, and even some embassies. They must have put out quite a call for recipes!
There are illustrations by J. Phleat Boyd, facts about Oklahoma, weird poems, helpful hints, knock knock jokes, and quippy quotes.
They really packed a lot into this pretty large book.
There are several pages of acknowledgments and excitement about the square dancing community.
The contributors were all named and their group or professional title.
