I don’t think I’ve come across a book with as many recipes for squash casserole as I have in this book. Six and I am not including Creole Zucchini Squash (Sarah B. Sumerford) or Saucy Zucchini (Virginia Davis) both of which are clearly a casserole even if they don’t admit it in the name.
Lots of dessert recipes including a good number of pound cake recipes of all flavors.
There are few international recipes including Suzy Shin’s Dae Hab Goji Kooi which is one of the few to get a headnote–“This dish is one of the most popular Korean dishes to Americans”, Riz Egyptienne (Rosalie Malizia) and Barbara Lent’s Belgian Stew. There is also a recipe for Lomi Lomi Salmon (Hawaiian) by Mr Si Elliott which I haven’t seen in other mainland cookbooks before.
Contributors are named and there are stock images on the recipe dividers.
